On 7 June 2017, the Rafael del Pino Foundation hosted a lecture by Ricardo Haussmann, director of the Center for International Development at Harvard University, entitled "We and Prosperity", in which he analysed the relationship between economic development and a society's sense of identity, of belonging to a group or community.
