Valeria Budinich

Towards a new entrepreneurial vision that can transform society

On 7 November 2013, the Rafael del Pino Foundation organised the keynote lecture by Valeria Budinich "Towards a new entrepreneurial vision that can transform society: new allies, new solutions, new market opportunities". The subsequent dialogue was led by Carlos Barrabés, founder of Barrabes.com and technology entrepreneur.

Valeria Budinich is Founder and CEO of the Full Economic Citizenship Initiative, driven by Ashoka Global, of which she is also Senior Vice President. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Lemelson Foundation and Leapfrog Investments.

Throughout her intense professional career, Valeria Budinich has held leadership positions in companies and institutions dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship in 23 countries around the world. For example, she was Vice President and Founder of Endeavor for Ibero-America, a leading global organisation in establishing links between entrepreneurs in emerging economies and investors in the venture capital world. As Chief Operation Officer of Appropriate Technology International, Valeria Budinich has been the driving force in providing technical and financial assistance to millions of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. She was also Vice President of New Initiatives at Business Design Associates, a California consulting firm specialising in business innovation, redesign and implementation of new technologies. Valeria Budinich has also been an advisor to groups such as Woman's World Banking, International Fund for Agricultural Development and UNIFEM.
