Jonathan Story

On 21 January 2009, the Rafael del Pino Foundation hosted Professor Jonathan Story, Emeritus Professor of International Political Economy at INSEAD, as part of its Master Lectures. His lecture was entitled "Economic situation in Europe and the world: repercussions and medium-term prospects for Spain".

Professor Story has worked as an advisor to international corporations, banks, service companies and governments on global and European policy and market issues. Before joining INSEAD business school, he worked in Brussels and Washington, where he received his PhD from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. His latest book is China: The Race to Market (Pearsons, 2003). His publication The Frontiers of Fortune (Pitman's, 1999) addressed issues of business strategy in the global economy. He is co-author, with Ingo Walter of New York University, of The Political Economy of Financial Integration in Europe: The Battle of the Systems (MIT Press, 1998) on monetary union and financial markets in the EU. Jonathan Story regularly reviews his case studies related to emerging market risk. He also writes regularly for the international press on issues related to international politics and economic development.

Jonathan Story is President of Story Productions, a consulting firm. The company specialises in the production of videos and documentaries about its case studies.
