II Edition of the Go!ODS Awards

Spanish Global Compact Network and Rafael del Pino Foundation

The Spanish Global Compact Network and the Rafael del Pino Foundation organised, on 20 February 2020 at 7pm, the 2nd go!SDG Awards Ceremony, Innovative initiatives that bring us closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the global development agenda.

GoODS partners are: Accenture, Acción contra el hambre, Ashoka, Asociación Española de Fundaciones, Global Incubator, Atresmedia, European Commission, Cotec, Deloitte, El hueco, Endesa, Esade, Ferrovial, Fundación Repsol, Iberdrola, IE Business School, Impact Hub, Merco, Indra, Ineco, IS Global, itdUPM, Obra Social Fundación "la Caixa", Prisa, Sic4Change, Ship2B and Telefónica.

The go!ODS Awards aim to raise awareness of the alignment of the business and entrepreneurial ecosystem with the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda, the global roadmap that specifies the goals of the international community in the period 2016-2030 to build a better world. In addition to strengthening innovation aimed at achieving the SDGs, the go!SDG Awards seek to inspire the Spanish private sector in their achievement, encouraging cross-sector collaboration and dialogue. To this end, there are 18 categories: one for each of the 17 SDGs, plus a special distinction for the best initiative, which will be named "Good among the go!SDGs".

The event was attended by Enrique Dans, who gave the keynote speech "living in the future".

Enrique Dans is Professor of Innovation at IE Business School since 1990. After graduating in Biological Sciences from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, he studied an MBA at the Instituto de Empresa, received his Ph.D. in Information Systems at UCLA between 1996 and 2000, and did postdoctoral studies at Harvard Business School. In his work as a researcher, disseminator and consultant, he studies the effects of technological innovation on individuals, companies and society as a whole. In addition to his teaching activity and as Senior Advisor in Innovation and Digital Transformation at IE Business School, Enrique is a visiting professor at the Diplomatic School in Spain and at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, he carries out consultancy work in several startups and consolidated companies, is a regular contributor to numerous national and international media on issues related to the network and technology, and writes daily since 2003 on his personal website, enriquedans.com, one of the most popular in the world on innovation in Spanish.
