On 21 February 2012, the Rafael del Pino Foundation organised the Master Conference "Global governance and international economic regulation in perspective".
David Kennedy is the Manley O. Hudson Professor of Law and Director of the Institute for Global Law and Policy at Harvard Law School. Professor Kennedy is a recognised expert in international law, international economic policy, legal theory and European law. He holds a PhD from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University and in his teaching and research he draws on interdisciplinary elements of sociology and social theory, economics and history.
Professor Kennedy has been Chairman of the Graduate Committee at Harvard and Director of the School of International Legal Studies. He founded the European Law Research Center at Harvard University in 1991 and has been the Director of the Faculty since its inauguration. He has advised several educational institutions on their academic programmes and has been a visiting professor at numerous universities around the world. In 2008-2009, he was Vice President for International Affairs, University Professor of Law and David and Marianna Fisher University Professor of International Relations at Brown University.
