Rewriting the Rules of the European Economy: Proposals for Growth and Shared Prosperity

The Rafael del Pino Foundation organised, on 7 October 2021 at 18.30, a live webcast of the event on the Rafael del Pino Foundation website. www.frdelpino.es entitled "Rewriting the Rules of the European Economy: Proposals for Growth and Shared Prosperity", given by Joseph Stiglitz and Enrique Feás on the occasion of the publication of the Spanish version of Joseph Stiglitz's work of the same title, published by Antoni Bosch Editor.

Joseph E. Stiglitz was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001. Professor Stiglitz is currently Professor of Economics at Columbia University after an intense and prolific academic career at prestigious universities such as Yale, Oxford and Stanford. He is the recipient of the John Bates Clark Medal (1979) and the Nobel Prize in Economics (2001). He has also served as an economic advisor to the Clinton administration and as chief economist and senior vice president of the World Bank. He is the author of works of great media impact, such as the international bestseller "Globalisation malaise", "How to make globalisation work" and "The Euro. How the common currency threatens the future of Europe".

Enrique Feás is Senior Research Fellow at the Elcano Royal Institute, independent consultant and Associate Professor at IE University and IE School of Global and Public Affairs. He is a Commercial Technician and State Economist on leave of absence. Previously, he has been Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Spanish Embassies in Egypt and the Philippines, Deputy Director of Trade Policy with Mediterranean Countries, Africa and the Middle East and Advisor for International Affairs to the Vice President and Minister of Economy, Deputy Assistant Director of the Deputy Directorate of Studies of the Ministry of Trade and Deputy Director of the Spanish Commercial Information magazines. He is founder and co-editor of the economic policy blog NewDeal Blogcolumnist for the daily Vozpópuli and co-author of the book "La Unión hace la fuerza: Europa ante los desafíos del siglo XXI", published by Deusto. He is a regular contributor to various media.
