Roland Vaubel

The European institutions as an interest group

On 23 September 2013, the Rafael del Pino Foundation organised the Keynote Lecture by Roland Vaubel entitled "European Institutions as a Stakeholder".

Professor Vaubel received his undergraduate degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University, his graduate studies at Columbia University and his PhD from the University of Kiel. Roland Vaubel is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim, Germany. In addition, throughout his prolific academic career, he has taught at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and the University of Chicago.

Roland Vaubel is a member of the Advisory Council of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. He is also a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the London Institute of Economics, an associate editor of the Journal of International Organisations and a member of the editorial boards of the European Journal of Political Economy, Constitutional Political Economy and the Cato Journal.
