The Rafael del Pino Foundation hosted Moisés Naím's keynote lecture entitled "The World after the crisis" on 19 October 2009.
Moisés Naím said: "Fewer things are going to change than we anticipated. The pundits who failed to see the financial crisis coming have also failed to anticipate the rapid recovery that has taken place. The world has recovered more quickly than expected".
D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Moisés Naím was included by the World Economic Forum as a member of the International Media Council and is president of the G-50 as well as a member of the board of directors of the National Endowment for Democracy and Population Action International. He has also served as Venezuela's Minister of Industry and Trade and as Executive Director of the World Bank.
