Three different views on the recession

The Rafael del Pino Foundation hosted a debate-colloquium with Miguel Boyer, Alberto Recarte and Fernando del Pino entitled, "Three different visions of the recession", on 7 October 2009.

During the colloquium, the causes of the recession were reviewed and a diagnosis of the current situation in Spain, other European countries and the United States was presented. They also analysed the responses of the different governments and what can be derived from them for our future.

Miguel Boyer has been one of the Ministers of Economy and Finance who has left the greatest mark on Spain, having been an exceptional witness to the great crisis that devastated our country in the early 1980s. He also has extensive experience in the private sector.

Alberto Recarte, President of Libertad Digital, CEO of CENTUNION and author of the Recarte Report 2009, is an economist, businessman and communicator of recognised prestige.

Fernando del Pino, Trustee of the Foundation, is an international investor who is very close to the reality of the United States and, as organiser of the debate, played the dual role of moderator and participant.
