6th Seminar on Competition Law and Economics

Competition law in times of crisis

On 23 November 2009, the Rafael del Pino Foundation organised the 6th Seminar on Competition Law and Economics, the theme of which was "Competition Law in times of crisis". The President of the National Competition Commission, Luis Berenguer, opened the 6th Seminar which, as in previous years, was directed by Santiago Martínez Lage and Amadeo Petitbò.

With this seminar, the Rafael del Pino Foundation consolidated its position as a reference in the analysis of the most relevant issues related to competition and market law and economics.

In each of the Seminar's editions, the debate of ideas on the proposed topic has been reflected in a book, published in the Fundación Rafael del Pino's Law Collection, which has become a reference for professionals and scholars of Competition in Spain. Titles such as "La modernización del Derecho de la Competencia en España y en la Unión Europea" (2005), "El abuso de la posición de dominio" (2006), "El Derecho de la Competencia y los Jueces" (2007), "Remedios y sanciones en el Derecho de la Competencia" (2008) and "Los acuerdos horizontales entre empresas" (2009) are now classics in the field.
