A conversation between Juan María Nin, María José Sánchez Yago, José Luis Vázquez and Vicente J. Montes Gan

Artificial Intelligence and Major Human Decisions

The Rafael del Pino Foundation is organising a discussion on 8 July 2026 at 7.00 pm, entitled «Artificial Intelligence and Major Human Decisions"in which the following will participate Juan María Nin, María José Sánchez Yago, José Luis Vázquez and Vicente J. Montes Gan to mark the publication of the book entitled “Artificial Wisdom” (Deusto Publishers, 2026).

Artificial intelligence is part of our lives: it makes recommendations, predictions and selections; it responds; and, increasingly, it plays a part in decisions affecting education, business, institutions and everyday life. Its unstoppable advance raises a crucial question: do we simply want a more effective technology, or an intelligence that truly serves people? Juan María Nin, María José Sánchez and José Luis Vázquez invite us to reflect, without technical jargon, on the major human challenges posed by AI: how to prevent it from leading to control, inequality or dehumanisation, and how to steer it towards truth, justice, freedom and the care of life. An essential conversation about the future we are already building.
