Inspiring principles
Nausika is one of the key characters in The Odyssey of Homer and the Ulysses by James Joyce. In both works, he embodies the mixture of vulnerability and strength, generosity and longing. Inspired by these values, the platform 'NAUSIKA. Technology for the Common Good' is born to contribute reflections and ideas on how to take Spain and Europe to a new stage of prosperity and well-being with the support of technology.
The activity of the association will focus, in its start-up phase, on the publication of Pills monthly reflection on current issues related to the strategic areas in which technology can contribute directly to the benefit of society as a whole.
In addition, the platform will produce new reports in the form of NAUSIKA Observatory and will promote dialogue with representatives of government, business and social partners in public events to which it will bring together the extensive network of actors who have shown their willingness to connect and collaborate.
The members of NAUSIKA believe that this is the right time to take advantage of the group's experience and cohesion, as well as its knowledge and independence, and to contribute to the promotion of the Technology for the Common Good. This aim, which is based on the conviction that innovation and industry are essential elements for the prosperity of Spanish and European society as a whole, constitutes the main differentiating factor of the initiative.
The civic-social platform does not depend ideologically or economically on any political party, institution, company or association. NAUSIKA was born from centrality, to promote innovation and industry in the social discourse and in the media, always with the aim of placing technology at the service of the good. In fact, since its creation, it has been publishing and disseminating an extensive monthly reflection on these matters.
In order to strengthen the collaboration between civil society and public administrations, the platform promotes the orientation of technological development and business innovation towards the creation of sustainable value for all stakeholders and society as a whole, in the heat of the movement. Tech for Common Good.
