On 12 February, the Science section of the newspaper El País published an article signed by Professor Rafael del Pino Javier García Martínez, entitled The science is not convincing. In it, the professor of inorganic chemistry at the University of Alicante and president-elect of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) recounted the difficulties that researchers encounter in persuading and realising their proposals.
