Iñaki Berenguer is a scientist turned technology entrepreneur.
He is currently a Managing Partner at LifeX Ventures, a $100M fund based in NYC that invests in Software and Artificial Intelligence companies that extend the lives of people and the planet.
Iñaki has been founder and CEO of 3 tech companies in NYC: CoverWallet (500+ employees, $100M+ turnover and acquired by Aon in 2020 for $300M), Contactive (acquired by Fuze), and Pixable (acquired by SingTel in 2012). He previously worked at McKinsey & Company and Microsoft Corporate Strategy (Redmond). He has also been a Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
Iñaki obtained a Masters and PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a scholarship from the Rafael del Pino Foundation.
He has also been a Fulbright scholar for 2 years at Columbia University.
D. in Economics from the University of Alcala, she is currently Professor of Economics at IE Business School, and Academic Director of the Economics Degree at IE University. An Excellence Fellow at the Rafael del Pino Foundation, she was also president of its Fellows Association and a member of its board of directors. Professor Gabaldón's research combines sociology and economics to understand gender and diversity issues in the decision-making of economic agents and the growth of countries. This research has been published in numerous prestigious journals, such as Harvard Business Review, Long Range Planning, or Journal of Business Ethics, while she has also collaborated with multilateral institutions and various media outlets.
María Garaña Corces is Vice President of the Business Solutions division at Microsoft EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) with responsibility for sales, marketing and operations of the Microsoft Dynamics business in the region. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard University, a Bachelor's degree in International Trade from the University of Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Law from the University of San Pablo CEU in Madrid.
María Garaña joined Microsoft in 2002 as Director of Operations and Marketing for Microsoft Mexico. Three years later, she became General Manager of Microsoft for the Southern Cone of Latin America, with responsibility for Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. In 2008, she was appointed President of Microsoft Spain.
She comes from the Zoom Media publishing group, based in Miami, where she held the position of CEO. In the same sector, she held senior positions within Grupo Televisión Azteca. She has also worked for Merrill Lynch International in London, Andersen Consulting in Madrid and Istanbul and Citibank in Madrid.
María Garaña is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) within the European Commission. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Liberbank, of Euler-Hermes in Paris (Alliance Group) and of the investment bank N+1. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Committee of Harvard Business School in Spain.

He is currently a partner at Altamar Capital Partners where he is dedicated to the management of Altamar Credit and the management of corporate debt investment funds. Additionally, at Altamar, he is a member of the Investment Committee of an investment fund of venture capital biotech company, Alta Life Sciences I. Since April 2017, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Human Vaccines Project (http://www.humanvaccinesproject.org/) and serves on the Council of the Association of State Commercial Technicians and Economists, which he chaired from 2003 to 2005.
Previously, much of his career has been spent in the public sector where he has held positions of varying responsibility, including his service as Director General of the Treasury of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness between 2014 and 2016. In the academic field, Jose Maria dedicated almost 4 years of his life to research at MIT on financial engineering models applied to the fight against cancer and other diseases. Jose Maria was Managing Director in the debt markets area of Credit Agricole CIB in London between 2006 and 2008, and has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank, a member of the Board of Directors of CESCE and a consultant to the World Bank.

Carlos Rivera worked for 20 years in the automotive industry in America, Europe, Africa and Asia, as an entrepreneur, executive, consultant and engineer. He recently founded the Alex Rivera Foundation, a pioneer in the adult stage of Down Syndrome.
In 2016, Carlos Rivera co-founded Clicars.com, named by the press as "the Amazon of cars in Spain", building a €500 million profitable business with only €5 million of capital. Clicars' extraordinary team of more than 600 people revolutionised the used car sector through digitalisation and trust. Clicars was sold to Stellantis (via AramisGroup) in 2022.
Prior to Clicars, Carlos Rivera was Global Strategy Director at Philips Automotive, Project Manager at the Paris office of The Boston Consulting Group, specialising in Industrial Goods (mainly in the Automotive sector) and Financial Services, and Engine Tuning Engineer at Renault. He also worked at Mercedes-Benz USA (Customer Service department), and at the Spanish National Research Council (electric/hybrid/fuel cell vehicles).
Carlos Rivera earned an MBA from Columbia Business School with Beta Gamma Sigma honors and graduated in the top 5% of Industrial Engineering students at the Polytechnic University of Madrid; he is an IRONMAN Finisher and marathon runner.
She joined the Board of Directors of Grupo Santander in 2015 as an external director (independent). She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a member of the State Corps of Commercial Technicians and Economists. She is also a non-executive director of Aviva plc, London. She has been Director General of Economic Policy and Director General of the Treasury of the Ministry of Economy of the Spanish Government, as well as Director of the Bank of Spain and of the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV). She has also served as a director of the Instituto de Crédito Oficial and other entities on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Economy. An expert in endowment management, he has written 'Gestión de Patrimonios' (Planeta-Deusto, 2022) on the investment of institutional and family funds. He also has extensive experience in fundraising and other areas of institutional development in Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Israel, Italy and the United States.
He has an extensive career in governance in higher education institutions. Prior to joining IESE as General Administrator in 2007, he worked as Manager of the International University of Catalonia, and previously in similar positions at the Euro-Arab Management School and the Università Santa Croce in Rome.
A graduate in Physics from the University of Valencia, he has completed a General Management Programme at IESE and specialised courses on financial management and investment at prestigious international schools such as Harvard Business School, The Wharton School, Yale School of Management, Stanford Graduate School of Management and London Business School.

Daniel Lacalle is PhD in Economics, Chief Economist at Tressis S.V., professor of Global Economics at IE and IEB and investment fund manager. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a PhD Cum Laude from the Universidad Católica de Valencia. He holds a CIIA international financial analyst degree and a postgraduate degree from IESE, University of Navarra.
He is President of the Mises Hispanic Institute, member of the Advisory Board of the Rafael del Pino Foundation and of ORFIN. He is also a member of the Academic Council of the International Freedom Foundation (FIL). His career in portfolio management and investment began at the hedge fund Citadel and continued at Ecofin Ltd. and PIMCO, in the US and London.
