In this paper we construct annual series of the educational level of the population adult for Spain and its regions during the period 1960-2011 using the information provided by the population censuses. These series update and improve on the series developed in de la Fuente and Doménech (2006) and are consistent with those developed for a sample of 22 OECD in related work (de la Fuente and Domenech, 2014)..
