Antonio joined Bath Spa University as a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management in April 2016. He had previously spent more than a decade in academia at Universidad Carlos III (Spain).
His teaching includes entrepreneurship and the application of Design Thinking to successful business innovation. His expertise unites the fields of entrepreneurship, strategic management and innovation management, with a focus on sustainable value creation as the ultimate source of competitive advantage. He has also published world-class research in the field of family business, including the most read article on Family Business Review in 2016-17.
His current research projects explore the ability of firms, in particular start-ups and SMEs, to integrate dispersed sources of technological knowledge into an effective and efficient innovation process.
