D. in Economics and Business Studies (University of Barcelona) with a thesis on Spanish investment in China and a Master's degree in International Economics from the Kiel Institute of World Economics. He is an associate professor in the Department of Humanities at UPF where he teaches East Asian Studies on Trade in East Asia.
He combines his work as a teacher with a professional activity in the field of consultancy on trade relations between Spain and China, within the consultancy firm Emergia Partners. He is also an advisor on industrial policy and international relations at the employers' association PIMEC.
He has published more than 40 academic articles in university journals, economic journals and institutions such as the Elcano Royal Institute, Casa Asia, CIDOB, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Casa Árabe, etc. His publications include "The Chinese economic miracle: myth and reality". (Marcial Pons, 2008).
