Professor of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the University of Valencia. MSc in Economics from University College London and PhD in Economics from the University of Valencia. He has been a visiting research fellow at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow. He directs the Master in Economics at the University of Valencia. He is an associate researcher at FEDEA and collaborates with the Rafael del Pino Foundation, BBVA Research, the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. He is one of the authors of the REMS model, an economic policy simulation model for the Spanish economy, the results of which he has presented to the European Commission, the OECD and the European Central Bank. His current research interests focus on macroeconomic modelling to study issues related to fiscal policy, the labour market and the financial sector. His research has been published in national and international journals such as The Review of Economics and Statistics, European Economic Review, Economica, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control or SERIEs. He is co-author of the book The Spanish Economy: A General Equilibrium Perspective.
