Josep M. Colomer is Professor of Political Science at Georgetown University. He has also taught at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas and at the Universities Autónoma de Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra, as well as at CIDE and FLACSO in Mexico.
He is a founding member of the Spanish Political Science Association, an elected member of the European Academy, and a life member of the American Political Science Association and the Mexican Political Science Association, both of which have awarded several of his papers.
He is the author of more than two hundred academic chapters and articles and the author or editor of two dozen books, translated into five languages including Political institutions (Prize of the Spanish Political Science Association) and Science of politicsan indispensable reference text.
