Until June 2022, he was special advisor at NATO HQ to establish the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) and the €1 billion NATO Innovation Fund, the world's first multi-sovereign venture capital fund.
His expertise focuses on the intersection between mission-driven innovation, venture capital investments in high-tech solutions and geopolitics.
He was previously Director of Research and Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is co-editor of the book "Success Factors for University Partnerships".
He is on the Board of the Danish Innovation Fund and was Chairman of the International Expert Group on Strengthening the Management of the European Enhanced Pilot Innovation Council.
