On 12 December 2006, the Director of the Foundation signed a research agreement with professors Juan Luís Martínez and María Carbonell, the basic purpose of which is to validate a management model for corporate social action.
As a result of the research work carried out with the support of the Rafael del Pino Foundation, the authors have formulated a model for the management of corporate social action. This model requires practical validation through the identification of some initiatives that can exemplify its foundations and recommendations.
The specific objectives of the study are:
- Knowledge and description of the theoretical and practical underpinnings behind the business with the base of the pyramid;
- The validation of a model of corporate social action management, developed in previous research work and published in book form, through the study of some unique cases that have been carried out in the international arena;
- The development of informative and scientific material in which the main findings are presented. Within this section, a priority objective of the research team is the drafting of a book on the subject of study, of a fundamentally applied nature, which will bring together the research effort of the present project and will be an instrument of synthesis of the ideas that have been proposed in the previous work.
This book, the result of the research, was published in the Foundation's Economics and Business Collection.
