The Foundation The Rafael del Pino Fellowship at the Observatory of the Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures in the United States of the Instituto Cervantes at Harvard University, within the framework of its Collaboration Agreement with this Institute, was awarded from 2013 to 2019. The Observatory's main objective is to establish itself as a permanent space of international reference for the study, prospective analysis and diagnosis of the situation of the Spanish language in the USA and the world.

En el curso 2016-2017, Rosana Hernández Nieto fue la receptora de la beca para realizar un estudio sobre las políticas públicas sobre el español implementadas por EE.UU. Rosana renovó la beca en el curso 2017-2018 para realizar un estudio sobre las políticas públicas sobre el español implementadas por la administración norteamericana.
