The MIT Museum, with the sponsorship of the Rafael del Pino Foundation, the Obra Social de la Caixa and the Ramón Areces Foundation hosted, in 2018, the exhibition The beautiful brain: The Drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal, the first international exhibition of the drawings of the Spanish neuroscientist and Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, on the human brain. The exhibition included 80 drawings - some of them never before seen in North America - photographs, historical books and scientific instruments.
