World Economy

The World Economy is constantly exposed to structural macroeconomic shocks of various types. These shocks affect variables such as GDP, international trade, employment, competitiveness, etc. with varying intensity and direction.

The Global Economy Observatory is the result of the work of professors José Bosca, Javier Ferri, and Vicente Pallardó. It evaluates the structural factors that explain the cyclical behaviour of the world economy, estimating their contribution to the annual growth rate of macroeconomic variables, and analyses the weight of the main disturbances that have affected the GDP and, in particular, the foreign sector.
